The Importance of Acceptance

I think its particularly easy to be in denial when you go from being healthy to having a diagnosis. Your mind just doesn’t want to accept it and there is a certain part of you that goes into crisis mode. Through this journey I have really learned the importance of acceptance.

For me, it is my diagnosis but it doesn’t have to be just that. It can be a situation in your life, a change in something routine or even just the way someone has treated you. Accept what is. The sooner you can accept what you are being challenged with, the sooner you can come up with a logical plan to defeat it or how to manage it. You are not “stuck” in any situation, diagnosis or circumstance. Literally everything about life and its twists and turns can be changed.

I accept that right now, at this time in my life, I have a bit of a health challenge. So I have accepted that I also, will change it. I am doing and will continue to do anything and everything it takes to change this situation until I am either happy with the result or comfortable with how I feel. I am doing so much research, diving into things I’ve never explored before, and trusting myself and my own energy for the first time in my whole life and while I technically have the first (and last) medical diagnosis I’ve ever had, I ironically,  feel the best I have ever felt in my whole life.

My mind is SO powerful. Your mind is SO powerful. What you give your energy to will continue to prosper. Choose yourself, choose strength and wellness, listen to how you feel. You will be so surprised with what comes from it.
